What is IN-ROADS?

Group of teenagers sitting together
  • IN-ROADS stands for the International Network for Research Outcomes in Adolescent Depression Studies.

  • IN-ROADS is an international group of people – researchers, therapists and doctors, as well teenagers and family members – who will work together for the next year or so on this study.

  • This project is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

  • The video below will provide you more information about IN-ROADS.

  • The purpose is to help researchers around the world get a better understanding of what is important to measure when they are studying whether a treatment for depression is safe and works well for teenagers.

Here is a video explaining our study to youth and why they should be involved. As family members and caregivers supporting youth living with depression now or in the past, we need your perspectives too.

ABOUT US

IN-ROADS aims to establish a core outcome set (COS) for use in adolescent major depressive disorder (MDD) clinical trials assessing any treatment intervention. Development of an adolescent MDD COS for use in future clinical trials will improve outcome selection and measurement thereby ensuring comparability between trials and fostering meaningful comparisons of trials and meta-analyses. The COS will be developed based on the input of patients, caregivers, clinicians, researchers, policy makers, and key international stakeholders.
